Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth

Blackpool Sands, the northernmost in a quartet of South Devon beach fishing marks near Dartmouth, can be successfully fished either from the northern or southern end of the main Blackpool Sands beach.

This shore fishing mark is known to produce Bass during a running tide and other species such as flatfish (predominantly Dabs) and, of course, Dogfish.

Baitwise, fish baits and peeler crab work well from Blackpool Sands.

The beach fishing from Blackpool Sands can be a bit hit and miss at times, so don’t be surprised if you blank here on occasion. When the beach is on form, however, it’s awesome.
